CrowdSourcing is going down
I’ll be providing designers with a competitive alternative to Crowdsourcing sites that does not take advantage of them pretty soon. I have 3 guys working on it with me around the clock, so it should be here within the next 2 weeks or so. Ill be releasing this service through ‘all’ my sites and connections including v7n/dnf/cssdrive/edf/urban75 and more to attract ‘clients’ to the site and provide designers with real exposure.
I’ll also keep you guys posted and i welcome all feedback from designers and regular users who might use the service. Got ideas? Want to see something implemented into this service? Speak up, I wont only listen, but act on your requests.
I’ll provide designers with enough exposure to actually land jobs ‘each’, something like elance for designers. free of charge for both parties etc. You bid on projects and have a portfolio clients can look through, you send the clients a private proposal and quote for said projects. It’ll be simple and effective, and with my SEO/Marketing background, communities, and connection, i’ll make sure designers get maximum exposure. Clients can have more than one designer work on the project to cook up samples based on the projects idea but would have to pay a percentage of the designers initial full quote. This concept will be panned out better in days to come.
What’s in it for me? i wont take money from the designer or the client, period. I will probably end up making money off ads/the sites extra services and premium accounts that provide more options to designers and clients, I think that’s fair, and keeps everyone happy. If you find the site useful you cough up a bit to upgrade willingly…yeah.
Additionally:
The crowd sourcing process consists of several steps;
1- A company has a problem
2- A company Broadcasts the problem online
3- An online ‘crowd’ is asked to give solutions
4- The ‘Crowd’ Submits solutions (spec work)
5- ‘Crowd’ vets solutions
6- ‘Company rewards winning solvers
7- Company owns winning solutions
8- Company Profits
Here’s the thing, with the solution I have proposed, that I feel would work amazingly, to both parties advantages is that there’s no crowd. Bids… yes, but these bids are in the form of a quote and everyone has a price. That’s normal, this bid is accompanied by a users portfolio (these portfolios will have to be moderated but that’s the only issue that may arise in my opinion and the portfolio submissions will be pre moderated before they show up in the said creatives portfolio. We can never be 100% of ever)
The client selects ONE creative to work on their project. One… see that eliminates the ‘crowd’ involved in coming up with solutions from the client, therefor eliminating the ‘crowd-sourcing’ concept.
